Kalyanapuram Rangachari Parthasarathy was professor emeritus at the Indian Statistical Institute. He won the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in Mathematical Science in 1977. The three books he authored are Probability Measures on Metric Spaces, Academic Press, New York (1967), Positive definite kernels, continuous tensor products and central limit theorems of probability theory, Springer LNM 272, Berlin (1972) (with Schmidt, K.) and An Introduction to Quantum Stochastic Calculus, Birkhauser, Basel (1992).
